The Board of Management of Drogheda Grammar School invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Special Needs Assistant in our mainstream classes and working within our AEN team.
Experience working in a secondary school setting will be valued and also any experience working with autistic students.
Applicants should also demonstrate a professional, flexible, self-motivated and caring approach to the role and display initiative in the area of Special Needs Support. They must be capable of working with and supporting a range of special educational needs - emotional, behavioural, physical, medical and personal care needs. They will work as part of a team and support the ethos and work ethic of the school.
The post will be filled in accordance with DoE guidelines and relevant circular letters, and will be subject also to a certificate of medical fitness, and vetting disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau. Shortlisting of candidates will take place prior to interview.
