An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Náisiúnta Chiaráin Naofa invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of Special Needs Assistant (0.83 post). This post will be in our new Autism class.

We are seeking candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on their own initiative.

Experience of working with children with Autism will be an advantage.

Appointment is subject to Garda vetting requirements,occupational health screening and proof of qualifications.

Scoil Náisiúnta Chiaráin Naofa is a co-educational primary school located in the village of Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny. Our school consists of 5 mainstream classes and 1 special class. In September 2023 we opened our first special class (Autism), and we will be opening our second special class in September 2024 (Moderate General Learning Disability) The staff of the school consists of 9 teachers, 3 SNA's, a secretary and a caretaker.
