POST DETAILS

Position: 0.83 allocation (Infant Day).
As per all positions in schools SNAs can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal.
The successful candidates may work with children:
A) who have ASD and complex needs in our ASD Class
B) who require support across a range of learning, sensory difficulties and/or intimate care needs
Experience working with pupils with Autism and communication difficulties advantageous.
Experience in TEACCH, PECS, Lámh and positive behaviour strategies desirable.
Candidates should be: energetic, flexible, trustworthy, able to work on their own initiative and also as part of a team. They must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children & the school. Candidates will be required to fulfil all hours relevant to their day and Croke Park Hours also.

An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate
