An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Applicants are invited to apply for two positions available in Merlin Woods Primary School: .83 post (26 hours 30 mins per week, spread out over 5 days) and a .5 post ( 16 hours per week, ie. 4 hours per days from Monday to Thursday). However, this may be subject to change. We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, flexible and can use their own initiative. Experience in working with pupils with learning disabilities, physical, sensory and complex difficulties, ASD and challenging behaviour would be an advantage. There is the possibility of a bus escort position available to the successful candidate. Applicants must have qualifications as set out in the Department of Education circular 44/2014 and have their garda vetting. Applicants who are members of the SNA supplementary panel must submit a certified copy of the completed PF1 with their application. Canvassing will disqualify.
